Frequently Asked Questions

Semaglutide for weight loss is generally well-tolerated, but like any medication, it can cause side effects in some people. Some of the common side effects that people may experience while taking Semaglutide for weight loss include:

  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Constipation
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Stomach pain
  • Decreased appetite

In addition to these common side effects, Semaglutide can also cause rare but serious side effects, such as pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, and kidney problems. If you experience any unusual symptoms or side effects while taking Semaglutide for weight loss, it’s important to talk to your healthcare provider right away.

Semaglutide is a medication used for weight loss and blood sugar control, and it’s available in different forms. Ozempic and Wegovy are two FDA-approved brand-name medications that contain Semaglutide as the active ingredient. All three are self-administered subcutaneous injections and are prescribed by a doctor.

Compounded Semaglutide is a custom-made version of the medication that is prepared by a compounding pharmacy. It is prepared by a licensed pharmacist according to the prescription and specifications provided by a healthcare provider.

In general, the monthly cost of Semaglutide for weight loss is less expensive (ranging from about $500-800 per month) than a brand name drug like Ozempic, which typically costs between $1500-2000 per month.

It’s important to note that the cost of Semaglutide medical weight loss program includes more than just the medication. Typically, the program involves regular appointments with a healthcare provider, dietary counseling, and physical activity recommendations, among other things.

Therefore, when evaluating the cost of a monthly subscription, it’s essential to consider the value of the overall program, as well as its potential benefits in terms of improved health and quality of life. Ultimately, the most acceptable pricing for a monthly subscription will depend on your budget, goals, and perceived value of the program.

Compounded Semaglutide is currently only available as a prescription medication through your provider. Brand name products you may already be familiar with are sold under the brand name Ozempic or Rybelsus, for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and for weight management.

Compounded medications are custom-made by a compounding pharmacy to meet the specific needs of a patient. However, Semaglutide is a complex medication that requires specific technology for its delivery and controlled-release mechanisms. Compounding Semaglutide can potentially lead to dosing errors, as well as safety and efficacy concerns.

Discuss any concerns or questions about Semaglutide with a healthcare provider and only use FDA-approved medications as prescribed.

Consult your doctor before beginning treatment. Avoid if you have any known or suspected allergies to Semaglutide or any GLP-1 analogues, cyanocobalamin, or any ingredients used in the compounding process.
